Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom

Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration honoring the official end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth completes the celebration. All Americans can celebrate to demonstrate social progress. Broward County Library is hosting a star-studded presentation to recognize Juneteenth. What happened on Juneteenth? Who wrote the Juneteenth order? Why was the Juneteenth order issued? Participate in the Juneteenth program to learn the answers to those questions and many more.
