Presidential Soul Weekend

I’m having a citywide celebration for the publication of Adrian Miller’s The President’s Kitchen Cabinet: The Story of the African Americans Who Have Fed Our First Families from the Washingtons to the Obamas. Sure, there’s the book launch party happening at History Colorado on Saturday, February 18th, but I’m talking about a different kind of party.
I’ve reached out to a number of chefs and restaurants, and I’ve asked them to put a presidential food or drink item on their menu. Many were eager to join in on the fun. Here’s a list of the participating restaurants, the food item their serving and the president who loved that particular item. Please pay them a visit and savor a unique taste of presidential history!
